Climb 499 Steps to the Top of Chimney Rock for Incredible Views!

Chimney Rock State Park is one of the most popular parks to visit in Western North Carolina.

It was on our itinerary for when my parents visited us in Raleigh from Australia.

Chimney Rock

It is located in the Village of Chimney Rock and easily accessible from I-40.

It's a 35-million-year-old, 315-foot high large granite outcropping located on a summit

From the top you get amazing 75-mile views of Hickory Nut Gorge, Lake Lure and The Blue Ridge mountains.
